The issue includes "cat fortune-telling" with illustrations (seen below) by manga creator Sensha Yoshida. Readers can find out which breed of cat they are.

Prominent wildlife photographer Mitsuaki Iwagō specializes in cats, and some of his work appears in the issue. Manga creators such as Ryo Ikuemi and Makoto Ojiro selected the photographs. AKB48 idol group member Haruna Kojima and her popular pet cat Kemushi-chan ("little fuzzy caterpillar") also appear in the issue.
Iwagō, Ikuemi, and Shin Takahashi offer a three-part discussion about "how to woo cats." The magazine features special cat-themed manga by Ikuemi, Machiko Kyō, Akane Torikai, Kenjirō Hata, Jun Sakura, and Masaya Ōhashi. Ojiro's "Neko no Otera no Chion-san" (Chion of the Cat Temple) opens the magazine in color.
A special extra November issue of Gakken's Animedia magazine focused on cats in October. The Nyankomedia issue showcased Nyanko-sensei from Natsume's Book of Friends and included a variety of cat articles and content.
