Voice Actors Create Characters for Nananin no Ayakashi Anime Comedy Series

The official website for voice actor variety show Seiyū Danshi desu ga...? (I'm a Male Voice Actor...?) announced on Friday that the show will spawn a series of anime shorts titled Nananin no Ayakashi (Seven Spirits) beginning on December 5 at 12:55 a.m. The seven voice actors who star in the variety show created the seven main characters — their names, personalities, appearances, and key items — and will provide the voices.
Yomi Sarachi (La storia della Arcana Famiglia, Lostorage incited WIXOSS) illustrated the characters and DLE Inc. is animating the series
The cast of characters includes:
Yūto Uemura as Meiteimu, a dog spirit that loves green tea donuts
Yūichirō Umehara as Guden, a tengu known for being the king of trivia
Keisuke Kōmoto as Kurokitenko, a book-loving black fox and prince of a lost kingdom
Yūsuke Kobayashi as Yū, a kind zashiki-warashi who won't relinquish his doll
Yusuke Shirai as Shirō, a mean white fox who often plays pranks
Yūtarō Honjō as Pontaro, a seemingly docile tanuki who is loved by all
Kazutomi Yamamoto as Cheruta, a two-tailed cat who speaks in a Kansai dialect and likes milk tea
The anime will be a slapstick comedy that follows seven spirits that come to the modern world. Episodes will be five minutes long. The anime's website lists eight episodes.
The 12-episode second season of the Seiyū Danshi desu ga...? variety show aired on the CS Family Gekijō (Family Theater) channel from February through July.
