“Wish –tale of the sixteenth night of lunar month–” Visual Novel Localization Successfully Funded on Kickstarter
DELAWARE, USA Aug 14, 2015 Localization startup Culture Select, LLC and doujin developer Migiha are pleased to announce that the campaign to translate visual novel Wish –tale of the sixteenth night of lunar month– into English & Spanish has been successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter. Wish is an “Eastern romance visual novel” and Culture Select's first visual novel localization project. The title was successfully greenlit on Steam midway through the campaign, which ran for 30 days from July 8th to August 6th 2015, and reached 110% percent of its funding goal.
“The most important thing this step does is open us up to new opportunities, new opportunities to publish, and the infrastructure of game translation in general. We'll keep you informed of our new acquisitions and services as a company throughout the year while we translate Wish,” stated Culture Select CEO, John Baumlin.
Wish is slated for release in English & Spanish on PC, Linux and Mac in the 2nd half of 2016. For a limited time, Culture Select is accepting PayPal donations towards limited items with remaining inventory. See the Kickstarter page for more details.
